Build a new Dawn, a new Eve, a new Time

Since from early days of my education, I was always interested in observing different phenomena’s, attitudes of people, events getting happened in life and drew conclusion at the end of the day with my best understanding. Honestly speaking, every time I found a big contradiction between the institutional & religious lessons and our practically followed code of conduct. It openly delineates reality of our “action” and strongly made big “statements”.
“Azan yet sounds, but never now Like Bilal’s, soulfully;
Philosophy, conviction-less, Now mourns its Ghazzali,
Allama Iqbal (Bang-e-Dra-120) Jawab-e-Shikwa

Whenever I attend seminars of social awareness, peace walks, watch useless discussion on searing issues, it always put me in a thought do we need some more lessons when a complete religion is there? Do we need some mentors to let us realize??? When everything is present and defined then what we are waiting for??? Are we incompetent to accept or we doesn't want to have it in our lives??? Where is the practical implementation of our knowledge?? Seriously are we following a right path??

 The preacher’s sermon may beguile your heart,
But there is no sincerity, no warmth in it.
The Muslim, zealous though about God’s unity,
Still wears the Hindu’s sacred thread around his heart.
Gone out is the fire of love. O how sad!
The Muslim is a heap of ashes, nothing more.
Allama Iqbal (Bal-e-Jibril-142) Saqi Nama

The faults are within us, nothing is bad outside, the problem is that we all consider ourselves as "innocents" we have answers for every question, we have put GOD's earth burning and now we are shouting when flames have reached to our doors. This is our dilemma we don’t want to learn from our mistakes.
We are becoming such a nation who lacks its social status, cultural & traditional values and historical manifestation among the nations of world. We have forgotten our identity, our lessons and pieces of advises f great mentors.

“Three centuries India’s wineshops have been closed,
And now for your largess we pine, oh Saki;!”
Allama Iqbal (Bal-e-Jibril-010)

 Alas! Our present educational system is impotent to meet the requirements of modern concerns, Institutions have failed to breed a nation of character and useful citizen, and chapters of inter-religion harmony, brother hood, patience, tolerance and peace have been ignored scathingly.

Molana Rumi said it in one of his poem,

“You were born with potential.
You were born with goodness and trust.
You were born with ideals and dreams.
 You were born with greatness.
You were born with wings.
You are not meant for crawling,
so don't You have wings.
Learn to use them and fly.”

At another place he addresses, “You were born with wings, why prefer to crawl through life?”

Allama M. Iqbal wrote same message in his poem “To Javid”

“Build in love’s empire your hearth and your home;
Build Time a new, a new dawn, a new eve!
Your speech, if God give you the friendship of Nature,
From the rose and tulip’s long silence weave.
No gifts of the Franks’ clever glassbowers ask!
From India’s own clay mould your cup and your flask.
The way of the hermit, not fortune, is mine;
Sell not your soul! In a beggar’s rags shine.

It’s time to realize the worth of being our self, to find out right path, our destination and most importantly our “own self”. To raise our moral character, ethical standards and prove the world that we’re worthy, we are Human’s beyond any discrimination and are Caliph of God on earth.

Let’s write our will across the sky, in stars.
Keep on knocking the door of truth, one day it would be open for us.

  1. you are so right, I feel the same, we have more discussions then actions, more worldly intentions and worries then religious, it is not that we should not think abt the world but there is a too much thinking thing which takes us no where, we are always dissatisfied and hungry inside as our soul is yearning for something more

  2. Its because we are unaware from the right path, we are not focused and most importantly we lack patience and knowledge.
